2 Ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe

2 Ingredient Pizza Dough

For a while I’ve been hearing about this amazing 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough and I kept thinking that even though it sounded great, I just couldn’t quite believe it would be as good as the traditional pizza dough recipe I use. And so I put it off and put it off… and then one night, I decided enough was enough and I was going to put it to the test. Seriously, as if a pizza dough made with only self raising flour and greek yoghurt could be as good as my favourite recipe. Or so I thought!

Ermeeeegod!!! It actually works and it’s really, really good. Who would have thought! And if you’re lacking in the kitchen utensils department, then fear not! For this pizza dough recipe all you’ll need is a bowl, a spoon and a bench or board.

So to make the pizza dough you simply add 1 cup of greek yoghurt to a bowl. Add 1 cup of self raising flour and mix with the spoon until it comes together and forms a ball.

Sprinkle a little handful of self raising flour onto a board or bench and add the pizza dough. Knead it for about 5-8 minutes until you have a beautifully soft and pliable dough ball. The longer you knead it, the better it will become!

The original recipe calls for 1 cup of greek yoghurt and 1 cup of self raising flour, however, I found that you actually need a little more flour. So start off with the 1 cup and then add more (up to ½ cup) as you’re kneading the dough. You’ll also find that the dough will pick up the flour on your board making it easier to knead.

Unlike traditional pizza dough, you don’t need to allow this dough to rise. Bonus!! This means that you can have pizza on the table in no time at all.

Roll out the pizza dough into one large pizza (or two small pizzas) and place onto a lightly greased tray. Add your favourite toppings. Place the pizza into a hot oven preheated to 220 degrees celsius. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the base is crispy.

Ingredients: 1 cup greek yoghurt
1 cup self raising flour (plus ½ cup extra for flouring the board and if needed when kneading the dough).

Method:
1. Add 1 cup of greek yoghurt to a bowl.
2. Add 1 cup of self raising flour and mix with the spoon until it comes together and forms a ball.
