At a recent exhibition of baby and toddler products in Sydney, I stumbled across ‘Toosh Coosh.’  Actually, it wasn’t so much of a stumble as a jump for joy, at the prospect of easier family meal times.  (Yes…there is such a thing!  Sometimes!)

I’m a bit of a stickler for insisting that we all eat meals together, as it is often the only part of the day when we all get to sit down at the table as a family, Dad included.  Although, trust me, the thought of having a hassle-free meal alone with hubby after the kids are tucked up in bed is often very tempting.

So, I purchased two, one each of my sons, aged 3 and 5, and it is no exaggeration to say that they have made a world of difference at mealtimes in my house.  The support and height that the Toosh Coosh has given them has not only made it easier for them to actually see what they are eating and maneuver their way around their plate more easily, but the added height has given them the sense of being ‘a big boy’ at the table.

As an unexpected bonus, the contoured shaping of the support seat has also  acted as a deterrent to Master Three to try to slip down off his seat before meal times are over.

Big Mum’s Thumbs Up for that, huh?

Eating out (which often used to fill me with dread) is also markedly different.  In fact, my boys are very comical to watch when we arrive at a relatives place or a restaurant for dinner, with their Toosh Coosh in its carry bag.  (They think they are ‘it and a bit!’)

Besides helping to restore your sanity at meal-times, The Toosh Coosh has many great features and benefits:

  • Australian made from environmentally friendly material
  • Shaped seat design that holds children in position, encouraging good posture
  •  Safe and secure with no need for straps as it stays put with the weight of the child
  •  Suits child aged 3 – 8 years
  •  Soft and comfortable for kid’s little tooshes!
  •  Small lightweight and portable
  •  Stylish ergonomic design

I have a three year old wiggle butt who sits on her knees to eat dinner! Would LOVE to win one of these!

Love it! And it would also help keeping all the food and stains off my cream upholstery on my chairs (didn't think that one through when we purchased before having kids!!)

It looks easier to get into than the car booster seat I'm currently using. My daughter loves sitting at the table with us, but wiggles because she can't quite reach.

Would make the move out of a high chair a breeze especially when visiting friends

Much more stable and safe than using a cushion to prop them up!

wow this would be awesome so much better than the pillow we currently use. This would make them sit up straight and one less thing to pester them about. Love it :-)

My master 4 needs one of these. He currently has a cushion when sitting at the table but it slips and slides around and he has to be very careful not to fall off the chair. This would save us!!!!

Our dinner table seats are desperately hard and we need to update them but $$$ won't allow us. Putting a cushion on the seat just means little man just flies off! A toosh coosh would be far more comfortable, and stable!

If I bring this baby everywhere, I will no longer need to find a small table or cushion for little one to sit on!
