My name is Christine Kelly and I’ve been a registered and qualified compounding pharmacist for the last 8 years. I come from a family of pharmacists and so some of my earliest memories are of me helping out at my parent’s pharmacy. I am a mother of 2 gorgeous girls, who are 4.5 and almost 3 years of age, with just a small 19 month gap between them
My pharmacy degree was completed at Sydney University, which after completion I then decided to purchase my own pharmacy, ThePharmacy in Leichhardt, NSW. My husband and I slowly developed our online pharmacy www.thepharmacy.com.au that represented the same values that we have developed in our bricks and mortar pharmacy, great products at affordable prices with friendly and professional customer service. We discovered that after we had children, our pharmacy become much more baby focused, and therefore we have found our little area of expertise, specialisation in babies and children.
What I hope to be able to do by writing as a pharmacist on Mum’s Lounge is to give professional pharmaceutical advice whilst being able to understand the challenges of being a parent.
